Addison's 2nd Brithday!

Happy Birthday Addison! So hard to believe two years have flown by. It has been so amazing to watch Addison grow into a toddler. She is independent, caring, sensitive, talkative, and just a complete joy in our life. I thank God for giving us this precious girl.

Today I took the day off to spend with the birthday girl. We had so much fun. It is days like these that make me long to be a stay at home mommy. Here is our fun day!

I'm two! Check out that bed head.

Off to play with her birthday present.
Then off to Target to pick out...
 some big girl panties!
Then off to the Purple Glaze to continue her birthday plate collection. Last year I did the painting. This year she did most of it by herself. I think it might have been the fastest paint job they have ever seen. There are a LOT of breakables in that store so we had to move fast.
 Cleaning up!
 The final product!
Final stop off to dad's school to eat lunch and visit. He even let us play with his blocks!
That night we had some of Addy's favorites for dinner, tortellini, green beans, and a biscuit.
Complete with a birthday cupcake!
Finally, time for one last little present.

Happy birthday baby girl. Thank you for spending the day with you. It was amazing. I love you!

Here are a few random pictures of my little princess I just had to share.

Every mom likes a recorder, right?

Quakes and Shakes

As if blizzrds and extreme heat weren't enough for 2011, God decided to throw us some earthquakes. Friday night we had a 4.7 earthquake, which I slept right through. On Saturday we went to visit Tim's parents, which is just a few miles from the epicenter of the earthquakes. Tim went to the OSU game, but I decided to stay back and watch it with my father in law. Geez the game was too close for comfort. By the end of the game my adrenaline was rushing, but yay we won! We turned to the news and they were talking about the earthquake from early that morning. That is when one of the scariest moments of my life happened. There was a loud rumble and the house started shaking. Pictures were falling and all I could think about was Addy. I screamed out "my baby!". I looked at Randy terrified and ran to check on Addy (she just stirred a little and went back to sleep). I had no clue what I was supposed to do in an EARTHQUAKE! I mean that is not a safety routine you practice in Oklahoma. It lasted 10-20 seconds and then it was over. I was still shaking an on the verge of wanting to cry several minutes later. I made the comment to Randy I was never going to sleep because I was really awake now. Throughout the night there were probably 10 or more aftershocks rumbling the house which woke me and scared my every time. There were many, many prayers said that night. It was definitely something I can say I have experienced, but will be happy never to experience again!

Birthday Bowling Party

Last weekend we had a celebrated Carson's (Addy's fiance) birthday at the bowling alley. Addy couldn't wait to see her friend!

Look at that cute little behind.

They practiced a bit rolling the ball back and forth.

OMG! They make bowling shoes even for her little feet.

Off to check out the arcade!

Back to bowling hand in hand

Her first try, with a little assistance.
So cute!

About 15 minutes after that Addison had a complete melt down, and we had to leave WITHOUT cake. As soon as we buckled her in her carseat she was fast asleep. I wish she would listen when I tell her she really needs to take a nap because she is going to regret it later. Instead she spent the entire hour and fifteen minutes playing and talking to Romo and Buddy. Next time maybe she will listen. ;"

An Elmo Party

This weekend we traveled to Arkansas for Miss Briley's 2nd birthday party. Oh how we miss you Scotts!

Her theme was Elmo!

Addy couldn't stay away from this little tricycle. Briley was ready for some opening.

When you are around two years old it is just plain hard to watch others get toys and not be involved. Brook was so nice to let Addy help with some of the opening.

Then this happened and Addy went in the other room so that poor little Briley could open her presents in peace.

Stylin' & gettin' some work done

This was a favorite toy of the little girls.

That night we went to Thomas' mom's 50th surprise birthday party. I just thought the table decorations were so cute.

The women

and the men.

We had such a great time in Arkansas with our friends, and so excited that we get to see them again very soon. Also, the drive there and back was beautiful with the rolling hills and changing leaves.

Halloween 2011

Yesterday, was so much fun! I seem to say that a lot lately. I am just having a ton of fun with my little one these days. We started off the day showing off our little cupcake to Stacy. She actually LOVED wearing her little outfit. I was afraid the hat would not stay on, but she didn't want to take it off.

That evening we did the Pryor Halloween tour and visited a my parents and grandparents. First stop Gammy and Pops! (This is the best traditional Halloween pose I got. Darn lighting. It is really hard to get the perfect picture with an ammature photographer and a fast subject.)

Addy wasted no time filling up her pumpkin with candy. It was like she had done it all before. She would say "trick or treat, candy!".

Next we stopped at my Granny and Grandpa's house. This is where I remember spending my trick or treat time. I loved to pass out candy with my Granny.

This is where we would take Halloween pictures as a kiddo.

Of course, Granny always has candy corn.

As a little girl every time I would come over to their house I would sit on this foot stool and Granny would brush my hair. I still do it occasionally.

Next stop, Nanas!

Nana, knows the way to her heart, colors!

Addy's already moving on to Thanksgiving, and checking out a turkey with uncle Matthew.

So happy!

Finally, the last stop of the night. We went to my Grandma and Grandpa's house where of course Addy finds rocks(my grandpa owns a rock quarry).

Knock, knock!

Sleepy girl saying bye bye to Grandpa.

And kisses to Grandma.

It really was such a fun evening. Halloween was never really a favorite holiday for me, but seeing all of the fun Addison had makes me like it a little more. Thank you Tim for being such a great sport and letting me haul our family around so that we could see smiles on everyone's faces!
