The Great Pumpkin & Ducks!

Bass Pros seems to always have a free picture opportunities when a holiday is near. So Monday we took the girls to see the "Great Pumpkin".

Addison and Madison walking in together.

They were ridiculously cute!

So we got there right on time. And wouldn't you know it their camera was broken, which turned out to be perfect. Our girls weren't having anything to do with pictures. I think they were a little scarred from a couple weeks ago when we went to JCPenny to get their pictures taken in their cupcake costumes. They found out we were trying to get a nice posed picture of the three of them and they freaked. Hence I really only captured a few pics of my little one.

The fish were much more interesting.

And crayons, heck ya!

I tricked Addy into this picture. I told her she had to go say goodbye to the characters before she could go feed the duckys! That's the best I got.

The ducks ended up being a huge hit! So there you go! We have cupcakes feeding the ducks.

And eating a bit of the duck food.

Branson Day 3

On our last day in Branson Tim went to go play golf with my dad. He just happened to be there at the same time we were. So Addison and I got to go on a little mommy and me outing. Of course every mommy and me outing must start out with a trip to Starbucks. I handed my little princess a vanilla bean scone, and off we went. Well we got to our location and holy moly. She had somehow managed to crumble that little scone into one million pieces (She is definitely related to her uncle Matthew).

I figured I needed a better plan for the oatmeal. So we sat outside our car on a rock wall with the proper precautions, a bib and wipes, in place.

Then we headed in to the Butterfly Palace. Oh it was so much fun! You get to go into a room with tons of butterflies flying around.

We had to make sure we had the proper hats for the occasion.
I told Addy she had to be quiet in order to see a butterfly.

I also told her if she stood real still and held out her arm maybe one would land on her. She kept walking around saying "Mere butterfly" and throwing her arm out.

They had a couple birds in there too (boo!). This one seemed nice enough. It was so pretty so I snapped a quick pic. Moments later its stupid friend came darting straight at us (or at least that is what it felt like). I hit the deck, nearly dropping my precious baby. We then moved on to a less birdy spot.

We decided to try to look at things a little closer. Or as Tim said, it looked like we were trying to burn leaves.

Her favorite thing by far at the butterfly palace was the turtles! She talked about that forever!

I had such a wonderful time with my little girl. I always treasure the little adventures and time we get to share together. On the way out we purchased a butterfly ornament to remember our adventure by.

For lunch we headed over to Branson Landing to meet up with Gammy and her family.

Great Gammy gave her a pumpkin, which was pretty much all that little one would eat.

On the way out she spotted someone else's firetruck stroller and took it for a spin.

This was such a fun first vacation for our family of three. It was relaxing and we had such a wonderful time together. Even though we did a lot of fun activities and saw some neat sights, my most favorite memory will be seeing Addison when we first got to the villa. She had so much excitement in her eyes getting to explore everything. She especially loved the bucket of golf balls (we picked them up several times a day) and the numerous un-child-locked drawers and doors. I remember whenever we were little and we would go on family vacations. As soon as we would get to the hotel we would go exploring. We would scout out the ice machines, pool, vending machines, and just check everything out. Seeing Addison's look of excitement brought back so many fond memories of my childhood. I feel so blessed that we were able to share some fun times with our little one. (Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa for letting us borrow your place.)

Branson Day 2

The second day we started out the day with a Branson show. We went to see the Amazing Pet show. This is before the show. Addison was putting on a little show herself, dancing up a storm.

Let the show begin.

About one hour into the show they stopped for an intermission. Tim looked at his watch, I looked a restless child, and we headed out of there. We went back to the villa to grill some hot dogs and cheer on the Pokes!

After a great game and some rest we went to the Trout hatchery. Addy got a kick out of feeding the fish.

She had to make sure she got every single piece of food picked up.

After feeding the fish we found a local park to run off some extra energy.

Poor girl was running so fast she tripped and fell in the wood chips.

I am telling you she LOVED this slide. She probably went down it twenty times, and laughed every single time.

Daddy decided to throw in a twist.

Before we left we headed to the creek.

Everyone needs to learn how to skip rocks, or in our case throw rocks.

That evening we ordered a pizza, got into our PJ's and watched some Bernstein Bears.

Branson Day 1

This past weekend was fall break for Tim, so we went on a much needed family get away to Branson. It was so relaxing and wonderful! Here are a few highlights from our trip.

The first day we went to the Tanger outlet mall. While checking out the Nike store, Addison checked the map out and made a list for the day. Note to all moms out there: Don't give your child a purple pen. A few stores later I looked down and her pink pants had purple pen marks all over them.

Next we moved on to a store more Addy's style, The Disney Store. Of course she went crazy over the stuffed animals.

She picked a dog and a "caab".

Of course one must always stop to ride machine operated animals.

After a good nap we went down to Branson Landing. We stumbled upon a couple more fun toys. She practiced driving a bus. Just like her daddy.

It was a beautiful evening so we sat out side to eat. This is not the best picture, but I thought it was cute that she was feeding her doggy.

Addy loved mommy's mashed potatoes.

And took over daddy's sandwich.

Time for the fountain show. As soon as the fire flamed up, she got scared.

After dinner we headed out for a lovely carriage ride. Addy thought it was so fun.

She even got to pet "Tony" when we finished our ride.

And what vacation day isn't complete without some good ole' ice cream.
