These days- May

The girls golf team made it to state. Being their first year to have a team this is an amazing accomplishment. We had a little fun before playing mini golf and racing go-carts. They got 7th place. Great job girls! Then tried out some amazing gas station sushi.

8 Years

Last week, Tim and I celebrated 8 years of wedded bliss. No gifts were exchanges, we decided a new kitchen was more than enough. We spent the day just the two of us. We dropped off the kiddos at daycare and headed to the spa to start out our day. We steamed and got incredibly relaxing massages. Then we went to our favorite spot, In the Raw for a sushi date. After that the plan was to go pick out grout and granite. We found grout, but with full tummies and being relaxed we voted for a nap. A nearly three hour long nap. It was wonderful. We were actually giddy getting to take such a long nap. After we picked up the kiddos, we decided to treat ourselves again and headed to one of Tim's favorites Red Lobster. This dinner was epic. Pretty sure we have never had a messier dinner. Lilah was covered in macaroni and cheese. There was nothing that could be done to clean her up. At this point Tim looked over at me while I was trying to contain the mac and cheese girl and he was managing Addison, he smiled and said "Happy Anniversary". That my friends is what 8 years looks like, messy, tired, funny, and incredibly happy!

Branson 2014

We are so lucky that my grandparents let us enjoy their condo in Branson whenever we need a little getaway. We went to Branson again this year the weekend before Memorial Day weekend. That timing is perfect, not too crowded and not too hot. We drove up Thursday after work and spent the evening "exploring" the condo. It's on a golf course so of course the favorite thing for the girls is to play with all the golf decorations.

The next morning we woke up and had some powdered donuts and got ready for a fun day at Silver Dollar City. Last year Lilah spent a lot of time in the Moby wrap. This year she was ready to have fun with Addy. We rode rides, ate lots of food, and had a really good time.

Friday evening we went to the main event, in Addison's mind, the Dixie Stampede. She remembered it from last year and for weeks leading up to our trip asked about it. It did not disappoint. Both girls loved every moment. They both watched in awe.

Saturday morning we went to visit the fish hatchery,

rode go carts,

lunch at a diner (with a craft I brought to keep little hands busy),

and rounded the day off with some shopping and Addy's selection from the Disney store, a bow and arrow. Tim was so proud.

That evening we ordered in Italian and snuck off for some evening golfing in our PJ's after Lilah feel asleep.

Sunday morning, Tim woke up early and played a little golf. We caught up to him on the last few holes.

After breakfast at Panera, we visited the Butterfly Palace before we headed back home.
