Inside the Playhouse

When we moved in a year and a half ago there were two sheds on the property. One we loaded up and gave it to my sister.

The other one we decided to make into a playhouse. There were several other house to do's that have been in line before the playhouse, the kitchen and miscellaneous updates like lighting, flowerbeds and just general up keep. We decided this summer the big project would be operation transform the shed into the playhouse. We have the inside complete and now just have to finish the outside, which will be a little deck, railings and a fresh coat of paint. This was such a fun project to plan and Tim is amazing at building anything I design. I even used my sewing machine and didn't throw it! Here are all of the progression pictures.

These Days: May

May is always a crazy month with end of year activities. Aside from all of the other fun for the month that has already been documented. Here are some of the other highlights....

We kicked off the month with teacher appreciation. We are so incredibly lucky to have such wonderful teachers in our girls life. These women spend many hours during the day teaching, nurturing, correcting, leading and loving our little ladies. I mean they spend more teaching time than I do with my children. I appreciate them so much.

Daddy continues to have basketball and football practices throughout the summer. One evening I got a makeover. I might have been a little tired and didn't want to move from the chair but the girls still thought it was fun.

Still working out every morning, 6 days a week. I lost weight at the beginning of the year. And have remained pretty steady for the last couple of months. I can tell I have gained muscle and I am trying to gear myself up to go on another diet to lose some more weight. It is just really hard so I really have to be ready. Until then I will continue to workout and gain that muscle. Anyone want to arm wrestle?

We went to the Rooster Day parade. It rained right before the parade and cleared up just in time for the parade to start. Addison enjoyed collecting candy and sharing it with a little girl behind us.

We had the basketball banquet.

These three girls have become buddies during their sisters dance class. Then the twins started going to Lilah's school.

Tim and Addison went to the Kindergarten graduation, so Lilah helped me mow.

Actually had a good hair day. These don't happen very often with the early gym and getting to work by 7:30. I had to record it.

My pretty peonies in the beautiful vase my mom gave me for Mother's Day.

Fun in the tornado shelter. The girls slept through the whole thing.

Kitty cuddles.

and early Sunday morning bike rides.

Gym girls night out

Pappy came to town!

Our niece Cassandra graduated high school.

I asked Addison to take a picture of Tim and I. This is what I got. Oh my goodness!
