First Day of School 2014

Last week the girls started a new school year. Yes, I know Lilah's is not technically school, but it was a new transition and to get her excited about it we told her it was school like Addy. That morning we had everything ready for the big day, matching outfits ironed, chalkboards ready, and the camera charged. The girls got dressed, had a healthy breakfast of powdered donuts, then off to the front porch for pictures.

Off to school we went and stopped at the building to snap a few pic before we were off to Addison's class.

Addison is in the actual preschool before kindergarten class this year, aka Green Room. Her teacher is Ms. Fran. We are really excited. She has a great teacher and will learn so much this year.

Then off to Lilah's class, Ruby room.

She walked right in and headed to home living, everyone's favorite center.

Lilah's class is more like a daycare type of atmosphere, mostly playing. Her teacher is Ms. Kelsey.

I am excited the girls are at the same place. It is such a time saver. Also, they are at the same school as Tim so he will do a lot of the dropping off and picking up. It is also a Christian school so I am so excited about the Christian foundation they are getting. Finally, it is FREE, a perk of Tim working at the school. Last year was an amazing year for Addison, we loved her teacher, the school and the school community. I am so excited to see what this year holds.

Summer Camp and Stacy

Addison stayed at her school this year during the summer. They had lots of fun things planned for them, so we thought she would enjoy this the most. Plus, Tim really didn't need her help on the kitchen ;). Every morning they would go on an adventure or make a craft. Every Monday was splash pad day. Other outings were the Library, Bounce U, the Zoo, CiCi's Pizza, and Build a Bear. Crafts were all over the board from marble painting to submarine making. She had lots of fun and her behavior was really good. They had a stop light system. Light green = No warnings all day, Dark green = one warning, Yellow = A Time out, and Red = Missed outing. She was 90% on a green card with few yellows mixed in, but no reds. She had a really fun summer and got to do some really fun things.

Lilah stayed with Stacy this summer. We have been so lucky to have Stacy in our lives. She is such a special gift from God. Stacy loved our girls like they were her own. Last Wednesday was our last day at Stacy's. I may or may not have bawled every day last week. Such an emotional time. How do you thank someone you are just so incredibly grateful for and how did the time pass so fast? We will miss Stacy so much, but it is time for new adventures for little Lilah. We love you Stacy!

Back to School BBQ 2014

We had our second back to school BBQ. Since the weather has heated up A LOT, we knew water would be a must to cool off. The menu was simple hot dogs and brats, easy sides and some cool beverages. My sisters, mom, and cousin came over for the fun. All of the girls, Addison, Charlotte, Oliva, Lilah and Avery had a good time splashing and playing together.

Matching swimsuits are they not the CUTEST!
(I must have liked this swimsuit on the Target clearance aisle because I had one in every size. Hehe)

Sliding into a great school year!

Love my beautiful sisters!

Just cruising in the jeep. Addison is rocking out to the radio.

Indiana 2014

At the beginning of the month we took the trek up north to visit our Indiana family. We were lucky enough to borrow my grandparent's minivan in order to take my nieces with us as well. It was awesome and now I want a mini van.

Playing Barbies on the way up

Our hotel the first night was gross and tiny. All we could do was laugh and just go to bed.

Tim's cousin has two little boys around the same age as our girls.

Addison has claimed Benjamin is her boyfriend. They had a BLAST together.

Every night we gathered and watched lightening bugs

Where's Waldo was popular among the older "kids"

And of course lots of fun was had in the pool.

and by the pool

A break for some ice cream

One morning we went to the local science center while Tim and others went golfing

Then like every other afternoon back to the pool

Tim's uncle owns a third generation farming operation. One evening he took us to the farm to check out the big toys. Addison LOVES uncle Milton.

Finally, some group shots
