Lilah's Birthday Day!

Finally, Lilah's actual birthday day. We celebrated it just us four. It started out with the new tradition of balloons. Addison actually remembered this from her birthday and wanted us to do it for Lilah.

Then Lilah got all dolled up for church.

After church, lunch, and a quick nap, it was time for presents.

This has been her most played with gift, a toaster.

A quick swim before dinner.

Dinner was one of her favs, spagetti.

Followed by a cupcake

Then a bath with colored fizzies and new bath crayons.

We finished off the day with bubbles
 watching dad light some fireworks,

and some relaxing in the hammock.

Happy birthday Lilah! We love you so much!

Lilah's 2nd Birthday Party

The Saturday before Lilah's birthday we threw her party at our house. The theme was pancakes and pajamas. It turned out super cute. I made regular pancakes with lots of toppings and birthday cake pancakes with icing. I kept everything simple. There were tables set up outside for kiddos to eat (I wasn't taking a chance that syrup would not get all over the place.) We spent the rest of the morning playing outside and opening presents. This was the first big event to host at our house. I think we had nearly 40 people. Tim spent so much time getting the kitchen close to being finished. It was nice to be able to show off all of his hard work off. Lilah you are so blessed to have so many wonderful family and friends who love you and helped you celebrate your birthday.

July 4th

We had two 4th of July celebrations this year. On the 3rd the girls and I celebrated with the Lewis family. Their neighborhood had a big celebration with a band and a big fireworks show. The highlight of the evening for Addison was getting to drink her first can of pop. She became quite the wild dancer after some sugar.

On the 4th we went to the Smith's annual party. Addison was very proud of herself this year for not crying during the fireworks. However, she did have quite the protective gear (Thanks Trent). A perfect evening of friends, food, pool time, slip and slide and fireworks.

And she was over the fireworks. Decided playing with toys was much more fun.
