Last Days of School Fun

This week was the last week of the school year. Addison had a field day on Wednesday that I was able to attend.

Thursday was the last day of school. There was an awards assembly and then the kiddos were released for the summer. Addison did really well in Kindergarten and received awards for diligence, Bible memorization and Art.

Addison Graduates Kindergarten!

Well it happened. Our little girl graduated Kindergarten. Her program was so darn cute. They learned so much this year. I took tons of pictures of course. I am so excited for her to continue growing and learning, but I sure shed some tears when they said this will be the class of 2028. That seems so soon!

They had some of their art work displayed in the foyer of the church.

We were sitting in the front row. I love this little face of excitement and embarrassment when she passed us. So very Addy!

Oh Addison, we are so proud of your year. You have learned and grown so much. I hope that you continue to build on this foundation and grown into a caring, thoughtful, ambitious girl. We love  you!

Here are a few videos from the evening.

Mother's Day 2016

As my work life slows down a bit, I get to focus more on my family and fun on the weekends. We kicked off Mother's Day weekend visiting Lynzi and her new (well 3 month old) baby and the girls had a blast together. Then we went out to eat to celebrate uncle Barrett finishing his MBA!

We stayed the night with Tim's parents and the next morning attended the Kolache festival parade.

That evening Lisa and Josh hosted a mother's day dinner. As always, Josh's cooking was amazing.

Mother's Day morning Addison cooked me some eggs all by herself and we went to church. After church we went to lunch with some friends.

We closed out the day with naps for the kids. I got to clean and organize. While Tim built a wall for the pool house. My dad brought over pizza and I finally learned how to use the new lawn mower. It may not be glamorous day, but to me it was pretty perfect. We accomplished a lot and had a lot of fun too.
