Guest Blogger: Fall Break Slumber Party!!

Amy asked me to be a guest blogger about our Cousin's Fall Break Slumber Party! :)

When we were younger we used to have slumber parties at my Aunt Barb's house. They were the most fun! To this day they are some of my favorite memories. When my sister's started having babies I decided I wanted to start this same tradition. So once or twice a year they all come over to stay the night where we have the time of our lives! There are no rules (until Mason came along now we just can't yell at the top of our lungs. haha!), no bedtimes, candy, ice cream, cookies, nail painting, Netflix shows, hot chocolate, donuts, basically whatever makes your heart happy!
We weren't sure how slumber parties would go when we had Mason, but really the only change has been that we just use quieter voices or go play loudly in Aunt Jenny & Uncle Blake's room. Honestly, we were discussing we think it's a little easier now that we have a baby. We are used to waking up early, not watching whatever we want on TV, ya know all of the things that don't happen anymore when you're a mom. :)

This week we are on Fall Break & one of my sister's needed a babysitter so we had a last minute Fall Break Slumber Party with Addy, Charlotte & Lilah. Bless Addy's heart she ended up having a fever and getting sick so she went home later in the evening. :( All the more reason to have a repeat soon!

 Spaghetti Dinner

Hot Chocolate & a movie

Priceless memories!

Mason is teething so the girls made him a picture to feel better. Also, Charlotte said she was making hers because when she grows up she may not live here and then he won't forget her! She's so funny!!

I'm so thankful that my sisters not only share the girls with us so often but also that the girls just love Mason to pieces!

These Days: September

Well, September just flew by! With school and work, I apparently had zero time to blog. We still did a lot, but I am slacking on blogging. Oh well, here is a big recap...
We celebrated donut Friday

I took the girls to work with me one weekend. I set them up their own little office, so I could get a little bit of work done. I am still finding their little pictures and treasures, makes me smile.

Addy's interpretation of the front of our church during th sermon

I don't know what it is about the red balls outside of Target, but my girls always want to take pictures by them.

Addy finally mastered no training wheels, so we started family bike rides around the neighborhood.

Family movie night

The start of my birthday. We were playing doll house because my children and I are early risers, Tim not so much.

My sweet friend, Amber, called and said let's do something for your birthday. I am never one for big celebrations, because the time of year with my job is exhausting. I am always working on my birthday. But a little impromptu dinner was so much fun. Darin planned everything and Tim and I just showed up.

While we were out celebrating, Jenny, Blake and the girls were having their own fun.

Must get their nails painted at Aunt Jenny's

Addison started Girl Scouts. She is most excited about the Mommy and Me camp out coming next month. Cookie sales start in March. We now have a supplier!

Lots and lots of cheering. Lilah now has her own uniform and she thinks she is just hot stuff. The girl has a set of lungs so if she continues to love cheering (Addy teaches all of them to her) she will be the loudest one of the group. Addison has gotten so much better this year. Last year she was Miss spaghetti arms. This year she hits her motions with some strength. She is growing up!

School picture

I left early on Friday and picked this girl up for a special Target date. We found her Halloween costume and a new purse.

A little SC Spirit.

On Tim's birthday we started with the traditional donut cake.

and ended with another evening with our friends. I am pretty sure we ended up spending every weekend with them. Never really planned, just impromptu get togethers and OSU football games.

The kids of Cross Talk (our Sunday School)

and Addy sang during the church service.

One final swim

then closed for the season

Lilah had open house at her school

She tells me the Barbie house is her favorite toy.

A fun little work party

Elsa is just the best cat ever. She lets the girls treat her like a doll.

Lost a tooth

Finally, we finished the month at the fair. We went to Disney on Ice, which both of the girls said was the best night ever. We had corn dogs, rode rides, and went to a crazy petting zoo. Lilah was terrified. I could not stop laughing at the craziness.

Ran into her bestie, Molly.
