Little Lilah Update

Little Lilah Grace,

Tomorrow will be 37 weeks! I am now ready for you to get out!!!! I know, I know you will come when you are ready, but this has been quite the ride little one. Medically, things have been up and down. You have been perfectly fine, thank the Lord. However, my body is not as dandy, perhaps I am getting old, yikes! After the quad screen results we have had to be very careful about lots of things. About 29 weeks the doctors because cautious because my fluid levels were high. Therefore, we started weekly non-stress testing. Sometimes you try to make it fun and we have to go to the hospital to do the testing. You seem to be a little stubborn sometimes little one. However, you have passed every test and seem to be a healthy little girl. A couple of weeks ago my blood pressure started getting very high, so I  was put on bed rest and medicine to help control it. One night last week it got so high I was sure it was time for you to come out and meet the world. So over Aunt Jenny came to watch your sister and off Daddy and I went to the hospital. False alarm. By the time I finally got to the hospital, alerted all of our family my blood pressure was normal and everything was just fine. I am dilated to 4 cm and 90% effaced, so the doctors all think you will come before our induction date of July 6th. I just think you might stay in there just to show us who is running the show ;). I am hoping for my bed rest to be lifted tomorrow when we visit the doctor tomorrow. Then it is on little one.

Two of our friends have recently had their second little one so now it is my turn. I can't wait to hold you. They tell me it is just as perfect as the first time around. We can't wait to see what you look like and learn your little personality. Daddy can't wait to have a snugly baby on his chest.

Addison is starting to get very excited about your arrival too. Last week she went with us to the doctors appointment to see you on the ultrasound. She talked about you the whole way to the doctor. Her is her explanation of how you will make your arrival into the world.

Addy: "Mama the doctor is just going to crack you open. Then ask Lilah why she is kicking so much."
Me: "Ouch that sounds like it will hurt"
Addy: "No, mom, no it won't hurt. Don't worry. They will just put you back together"

She seems to think I am Humpty Dumpty or something. Addison, is really getting more and more excited to meet you. She talks about your room, and pats my stomach and talks to you. We are all very excited to meet you so hurry up little one!!!!

BabyQ

A couple of weekends ago my sisters and some amazing friends threw Tim and I a BabyQ. It was basically a BBQ celebrating little Lilah. We also received diapers and cute little girly gifts. It was such a fun, relaxing event. The perfect laid back party, just our style. My sister has the perfect back yard with lots of big shade trees and room for kiddos to run. It is funny to think 3 years ago most off us did not have any kids. Now there are kids everywhere and several of us have had or are on round two. Thank you to all of our friends who came (some from a couple of hours away) to make us feel so loved. We appreciate every single one of you and the part you play in our lives.

6 Years!

This weekend was our sixth wedding anniversary. One day last week we were at Wal-Mart and I suggested we go ahead and pick out our anniversary cards. Then I added lets pick from the value section. My how the years have changed. One year I am sewing him this thoughtful pillow a few years later it is taking turns in the value card section while the other explains to Addy why she cannot have the huge lollipop. Luckily neither of us has the love language of gifts so we were both satisfied with the situation and found it humorous actually. I must say while sometimes we drive each other batty. I could not have asked for a better husband and partner in life. It really has been an easy, fun road and I am so happy to continue it with him. Our life is about to get crazier as we add to our family, but I know that I can handle anything with Tim by my side.
We had a bean bag tournament with our friends the night of our anniversary, so we went out to dinner Friday night. This year we had an adorable tagalong. It was the perfect evening.
