Saturday was my birthday. I have been so busy with work lately that I didn't want to do anything but relax. Melissa's mom kept the pool warm this week, so that we could have one last splash before summer was over. We had so much fun with the girls jumping and swimming.
Melissa bought my favorite sugar cookies from a local bakery, yum!
The girls love pizza!
1, 2, 3....
Jump!
Mackenna, queen of the puffs!
Addy calls this pretty toes.
Sunday morning we skipped church and beat the heat and the crowd at the zoo. Melissa, Waylon, and Madison joined us. I think Addison had even more fun with a little pal just her size. They can talk to each other and no one understands them, but themselves.
Airplane!
They both really loved the giraffes!
The penguins were a big hit too!
Madison loved the goats. Addison is still unsure. I believe I have a little precious princess on my hands.
Washing up. Remember press the button, or else you will be pumping the fake pump forever.
And the zoo is never complete without a ride on the carousel.
Oh yeah, another memory on this zoo trip. We all got to experience the giant turtles making a baby. It was rather interesting with sounds included. Addison was pretty frightened. Stay scared young child, stay scared. The adults got a good laugh though. No pictures though this is a family blog. ;)
Tim went all out for my birthday. He bought me the most delightful hair dryer ever. It is a fancy French hairdryer that dries my hair in half the time, and so much straighter and softer than ever. He also bought me a massage (thank you groupon). He says I have been a little stressed lately (that is an understatement), so this would help me to relax. Of course, he and Addy bought me a card, which is my favorite. I am the love language of words, so I love all of those nice, loving words he writes.
