Luckily, my work gives me two weeks off before my due date. Not sure I would really be much good there anyway. I mean who really wants an uncomfortable extremely pregnant lady hanging out at office. Since we fully expected Lilah to come early (every single doctor said you won't make it to 38 weeks), we had our to do list and bags packed while I was on bed rest. So once we hit 37 weeks and my bed rest was lifted I felt like, "now what"? So here is what we have been up too...
- A couple of visits to the bouncy barn
- Swimming
- I finished 2011 blog book
- Playdates with friends
- Met handsome Landon
- Naps
- Popsicles
- Organized my bathroom cabinet, complete with labels (can you say nesting)
- Lots of Addison snuggles
- Finished Lilah's nursery
- Thoroughly enjoying our first child, while excitedly awaiting our second
And I will leave you with a few little Addison saying/doings lately....
- I can get just one stip (sip). This happened when I had a Sonic drink. Apparently pop is like crack to a two year old. She couldn't get enough. She kept acting like she was bringing me the drink then adding in a cute voice "I can just get one stip". Complete with batting of eyes and shrugging of her shoulders, as if no big deal.
- I made her her own make up kit this week, because she is always trying to steal mine. I took some old eye shadows, powder and a blush and cleaned them out. Then I painted them with different shades of pink to look like make up. She has played with that more than any other toy. And it is helpful in the morning to keep her happy while I put on my make up. She pulls up a chair and stands by me at the mirror getting ready for the day.
- Grav it = Grab it
- If she yawns she explains to us that she is just yawning and she is not tired. Last night she said she was just closing her eyes and looking at them, again not tired.
- Scoop = Scoot
- Aday = Today
- Pack Pack = Backpack
- If she doesn't really want to share, she says the toy/puzzle/baby is too hard for you and she is just helping you.
- Crack is the equivalent of saying open. Hence why they will crack me to get Lilah out.
- We were watching the gymnastics olympic trials and she was saying the girls outfits had sprinkles on them.
