We had such a grand plan mapped out for New Years Eve (well grandish for parents of young kiddos). The trio was going to have a get together. We were going to have snack food, wear sweats/pjs, and each adult would get an hour of kid free time (ie the ladies would get an hour while the guys watched the kids, then switch). We were also going to have our Christmas party, since we had to reschedule it for a sick kiddo. Well, little Miss Addy had a fever the night before. With a newborn as a new addition to the trio we were going to take any chances. So we spent another year with just us four. We ordered pizza, sipped sparkling juice (champagne for the adults), celebrated our "ball drop" at 7 and watched a little of Lilah's new favorite, Mickey Mouse Club. The kids were in bed by 8. I was out by 9:30. Tim was the night owl of the night and stayed up playing video games. Rather low key, but nice and restful.
