Lilah also had her first gymnastics class. Again I was quite
nervous for my shy girl. This girl cries nearly every drop off at school. She
is not one for strangers and will cling to Tim and I in new situations. So in
my mind I was sure I was going to have to peel her off my side and pass her to
the sweet teacher in tears. Well it was quite the opposite. She skipped right
into class and had a smile plastered on her face the entire time. Afterwards we
signed her up for the year and bought her very own gymnastics leotard. I am
telling you I really wasn’t sure how she was going to react so she borrowed one
of Addison’s old leotards. She wore her new leo for days and every night to
bed. The next week she was just as happy in
class and was acting like she had been there for months. She knew
exactly what she was supposed to do. My little Lilah hasn’t stopped talking
about her “nastics”. I am so happy we found something she loves.

Some Lilah Firsts
This month our little Lilah has had some milestone firsts. At the beginning of the month she had her first dentist appointment. We talked up this appointment big time. Addison's first did not go so well, so we were trying to avoid any crying. It also helped that Addy now likes the dentist and was telling Lilah how fun it is to visit the dentist. The dentist receptionist was so nice to make the appointment together so that Lilah could watch big sis. She was super excited to pick out her toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste from all of the bins when you first walk back. Addison jumped right up to the chair and had her teeth cleaned first. When it was Lilah's turn she got scared and sat in my lap to get hers cleaned. She didn't cry but was very unsure about the whole process. Next it was time for the dentist to take a look. We used the whole, "I bet you can't sit in the big chair all by yourself routine". This works on her (I hate that we use it). She jumped up in the chair with huge smiles. Laid back and let him look inside her mouth. Her favorite part was of course picking a toy out of the toy chest. I am pretty sure she left with a couple toys.
