These Days: September

Man September is always such a crazy month. Lots of back to school activities and the start of football season and after school activities. It is fun and exhausting at the same time, learning a new routine. Here are a few other things that happened in September.

Neighbor fun with sidewalk chalk paint.

Lots of backyard dirt work

and finding all the pesky lines

A birthday dinner date with my dad

and celebrating Tim turning 35

Lilah's back to school night. She was so excited and proud to show us her class, artwork, toys, and seat.

She absolutely LOVES her teacher and school this year. Worlds different from her last year. Still liked her teacher from last year, but Ms. Viv and Lilah just click. It is so comforting as a working mom to know my child is happy at school.

Addison's first progress report. She is loving Kindergarten and progressing just fine in my mind. I was telling Tim the other day I don't worry about her learning progression. She will do fine. I really want her to develop more in the areas of work ethic, compassion, and kindness. I really feel these are traits that last a lifetime. Those are some of the things that I believe make you successful.

A super fun bubble birthday for a set of twin friends.

Since my sisters live so close, we thought it was crazy we weren't getting together on a more regular basis. Thus, Sister Sunday Supper was started. Once a month we are going to try to get together on a Sunday evening and hang out together. Jenny hosted September.

Hunting for fall treasures

This girl is a fashionista. Every morning it is very challenging selecting an outfit she approves. This she picked out herself. It is a dress that is too short so she added leggings.

Lunch with my girlie. Since my work is so close, I am trying to have lunch on a semi regular basis with my babies. This month was Lilah. She lit up when I showed up. She also took a picture with each kiddo there. It was adorable to see her so loving with each kiddo.

Addy has been cheering up a storm. They had elementary night at school and she performed her dance for the big crowd. She loved pretending she was one of the "real" cheerleaders, as she calls the varsity squad.

We have also spent our Saturday mornings at the football field. Tim is coaching the football players and I am coaching the cheer squad. Lilah is hanging out in the stands or cheering with her sister. It is quite the family affair these days.

One of the items on our fall bucket list is to hike the trail in the neighborhood behind our house. We have been meaning to do this every since we moved into the house. I have learned "To Do" lists motivate me. So onto our Fall Bucket List and check that puppy off. It was such a cool trail with lots of different routes that lead to a nature center and an elementary school. I hope to hike it again and visit the nature center when they are open one of these days.

And of course a cute sister shot. They have been playing lots of house lately.
