Polar Express 2015

This year my grandma gifted all of her great grand kids tickets to the polar express. I love that her gift to them was an experience. To me those are the best gifts. All of the girls really had a great time. Everyone was pretty excited to meet Santa, except for poor Charlotte. She still wasn't into good ole St. Nick. The conductor, elves, and helpers did a great job keeping the whole experience exciting.

Funny Addy story:  Tim and I had talked about going to see Santa after church to get the "picture with Santa" Christmas picture. However, Addison is so skeptical and thinking through all of the whole Santa thing, (remember the Easter Bunny). So we weren't sure if we should go see another Santa and have to explain why they are different. The next morning Addison said she wasn't feeling well (turned out she was just hungry).
She then said "Mom, I don't want to get the other Santa sick".
"Other Santa?" I responded.
"Yeah, Mom. Each land has their own Santa. I don't want to get the Santa from our land sick".

What I am learning... Don't talk too much she hears everything. I am not sure we had even mentioned to her about going to see Santa. Number two, don't make up reasons for any of this Santa stuff. Ask her what she thinks and go with that. It is as if I can see her wheels turning these days. She is thinking about everything and putting words, experiences and her thoughts all together. So fun to watch her process it all. I just have to get out of the way and let it happen.
