Lilah: Three Years and Six Months

Lilah, my little cuddle bug today is your half birthday. You are THREE and A HALF!!!!!

Here are some fun tidbits about you at 3.5 years old.

- Every morning before coming to wake us up you dress yourself complete with a headband.
- You are a fancy girly girl. You like dresses and dress up shoes or "walking heels" as you call them.
- You love to entertain us with singing and dancing. You will get the cd player out, plug it in and start singing and dancing away, usually Kidz Bopz or Bible songs. Most often you will be wearing a skirt pulled up as a dress and walking heels.
- You found a pacifier in your baby stuff and I have found it in your mouth on occasion.
- You LOVE babies. That is all you wanted for Christmas, babies. You play school with them all the time. I gave you pieces of cardboard that you pretend are "cots". You lay out cots all over the playroom and cover up all your babies for nap time.
- You are LOUD. You know how to produce some volume girly. When you sing, yell, announce, sometimes just talking, you do so for all to hear. You use your whole body and can really work your diaphragm.
- You are sweet to all babies. You love to mother.
- You use words like actually, probably, accidentally, freaking out, oh my gosh and so many others grown up sounding words. All with the appropriate sigh, disgust, or excitement.
- You tell really great stories. However, when you tell them you act like you are 13 years old.
- You are still our cuddly girl. Often when you are tired you will cuddle up in my arms just like you were my little baby.
- No signs of giving up that thumb anytime soon. Any time you have something silky in your hand the thumb goes straight to you mouth. Even if you see something silky or like a taggie, it means thumb in mouth!
- You are very stubborn. When you want something or don't want something, you will dig your heels in deep.
- You love books. Your teachers tell us that you will sometimes sit in the book corner for over an hour reading.
- You are our shy girl. There are times you just clam up and won't speak to anyone. You will just hold tight to mom or dad in a crowd.
- You still scrunch up your little nose sometimes when you smile.
- You are still a daddy's girl. However, I am starting to get a little more love these days.
- You are your sister's shadow. Whatever she does you want to do. You girls are constantly playing school or mom/baby. Most of the time you guys get along great. But you are starting to have your own opinion, which sometimes doesn't go over well with your opinionated sister.
- At night when we sing your bedtime songs, you will hum the tune.
- You love chips! Sometimes if offered a cookie you will choose chips instead.
- You still love Minnie Mouse.
- You love purple and pink.

Lilah you are just a joy. You are our petite girl with lots of personality. You are loving and kind with just the right amount of spicy to keep it interesting. We love you so very much and are so very thankful you are our little lady.

Love you forever and always,
Mommy
