Branson 2016
A few weekends ago we headed north to Branson for a quick getaway. We invited a couple from our Sunday school class that have kids similar in ages and our girls are completely in love with baby Ella. We loaded up Friday afternoon and ate dinner at the condo. Darrin is a great cook and cooked us up some yummy pork chops. Amber and I hit up the outlet mall for a couple of hours while the guys were supposed to settle the kids into bed. We came home to all kids awake, capri suns everywhere and the guys hanging out on the deck, men! Oh well, we all had fun and that's all that matters, right? The next morning we went to Silver Dollar City. The reason we choose April was to beat the heat and crowds. As we pulled up we noticed buses and buses of kids. Apparently end of April also means end of school field trips. We had some fun and by 1:30 it was time to go home. There were WAY too many people. Tim got his bag full of saltwater taffy so it was a successful trip for him. That evening we ordered pizza and put the kids to bed early so we could relax on the back deck. These are new friends so we had lots to talk about. Sunday morning the guys went golfing and Amber and I took the kiddos to the pool. Before we knew it the weekend was over and time to head back to reality. It was such a great time getting to know a knew family and taking some time to relax.
