Girls were cuddled

The house was decorated for Christmas.
The girls big Christmas present from us and grandparents was built...

and loved!!!
Lots of food was prepared and enjoyed.
Cousins played together.
Rhema was visited with Aunt Sam!
These were only the things that I had time to stop and take a quick picture. Here are some other highlights of the week.
- Outdoor fixtures were painted.
- GG and I started planning the Thanksgiving menu on Monday. We decided to make everyone's favorite dishes. We had fried turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans, canned cranberries, rolls, cobbler, and pumpkin caramel cheesecake. We split the duties and went to work. We figured splitting was best. We are both the leader type. LOL. I was on dressing, well it turned out to be a bit of a disaster. GG had a little bread mishap by forgetting to take it out of the oven. More bread was bought, but I forgot to follow several directions (that I was supposed to write down when my Grandma gave the recipe several years ago). Needless to say it was not as fabulous as I would have liked. Luckily the sweet potatoes were a hit!!
- Seafood dinner! It has been a tradition that every time we get together with Tim's dad we have seafood. This year we had crab legs, boiled shrimp, fried shrimp and red lobster biscuits along with leftovers from Thanksgiving. So delicious!!!!
-Toilets and faucets were fixed.
- Wine was consumed while cooking. Lots of laughs and bonding happened in our new kitchen. I loved getting to spend time with others and time in my kitchen. Since we have moved in we haven't had a ton of time to cook and enjoy. I am glad I had the whole week to cook.
- Downside of lots of cooking, lots of dishes. It does not help when your dishwasher decides to quit working on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Therefore, we kept it classy with lots of disposable dishes!!!
- Pappy took Addy shopping for her birthday. I suggested some warm sheets, so we were off to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. We were in luck because they had toys there too. So we were able to complete the shopping trip in one store. With the extra time, we decided to go to Sam's. Pretty sure that wasn't her idea of shopping. It was helpful for the amount of paper plates we needed though.
- Craft closets were built and organized!!
- Amy only had one tired cry in front of everyone break down. I am definitely not cut out to be a stay at home mom. Domestic duties are only fun in small doses.
-Trees were trimmed and mulched.
- We watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, one of my favorites.
- I apparently make weak coffee. I learned how to make a proper pot of coffee.
It was truly a blast sharing our home with everyone and making wonderful memories!!! I can't wait for it to happen again!
