We are slowly starting our little family's traditions. Christmas is a time were traditions are very common. Last year I tried out the Elf on the Shelf. It wasn't for me. I realized I was doing it because others were doing it. I didn't feel like it added much to our family, so this year I dropped it. Last year we also started reading one Christmas book a night and putting together our advent nativity scene. Those two traditions have stuck and I really like them. We have started gathering around our tree to open our nightly book and add a character to our nativity scene. A new addition this year is popcorn. Turns out my girls love popcorn just as much as me. Gives me a reason to buy those cheesy popcorn tins at the store! I love this time with our family. Even if it goes by quick, 10 minutes max and it is time for bed, I cherish these moments together.
