9 wonderful years

Last week my hubby and I celebrated 9 years of marriage. We decided to actually do something for our anniversary this year and went on a little getaway weekend to Eureka Springs. In true Amy fashion I sent Tim a text telling him to come up with a list of items we need to discuss. I like to have "state of the union" discussions when the kiddos aren't around. Topics like, plans for the future, budget, summer/fall bucket list items, trips, date nights, etc... It was nice to talk about things without getting interrupted and share hopes, dreams, and day to day wishes with each other. These things are so important in keeping a relationship alive, and we understand how much more we need hold on to those once a month date nights.

We started our drive and hit the casino on the way.

We ended up winnin $150.

Which we quickly blew at Sonic and...

on a SELFIE STICK!!!!!

Our first day we walked around, ate AMAZING fish tacos,

got pedicures, and relaxed in our room while the rain beat down. We went to bed at 9:30! Man we are party animals!

We both woke up super early the next morning so we decided to take a walk, swing on our porch and relax while we waited for breakfast at 9. We must be getting old because this seemed so late for us. Haha.

After a couples massage we had a yummy lunch, visited a winery and had even more food for dinner. We even squeezed in a little nap.

The next day after breakfast we packed up and headed home to see our babies. On the way out of town we stopped at a grotto to take a peek.

Our actual anniversary was Tuesday. We told the girls we were going to take them out for a special anniversary date. They thought we were going on a trip. They were still happy with the melting pot. It was a fun treat, but as we were leaving I whispered to Tim that Eureka was more relaxing ;).

After dinner the girls performed for us.

And Addison required us to take a kissing picture.

It has been a darn good 9 years with this man. Even though at times we drive each other batty, I can honestly say that God gave me the perfect partner for this life. We balance each other out perfectly. I love you, Tim. Looking forward to many many more years. And ready for our next anniversary trip!!! Let's get planning.
