A Birthday at Magic Kingdom

We continued the balloons on the birthday girl's door tradition while away. Poor birthday girl, Addy, ended up being up half the night crying from an ear infection. So she didn't really appreciate the morning excitement. She was exhausted and in pain. After a run to Walgreen's and Dr. Pepper in her cup she was more ready for the day. I told her since she was 5 she could have a little Dr. Pepper on special occasions. She talked about this the whole day. I was grasping at anything I possibly could to make her happy. I felt so bad for her not feeling well on her birthday. (Side note: Since turning 5 she can do a lot of stuff according to her, stir hot things on the stove, cross the street without holding hands, and touch all the breakable Christmas decorations. Apparently 5 is a danger seeking year, hahaha. She crack me up.)

Once we were on the bus to Magic Kingdom she pepped up. We first headed to Peter Pan, which both girls were scared of all the dark parts. So we headed over to rides we knew they would love, Dumbo was a hit.

Next we went for our first character visit, Ariel. Lilah was scared and wouldn't even let go of Tim. I expected this with any of the characters, but thought she might be okay with the princesses.

Back to Dumbo and a roller coaster Addison fell in love with, the Barnstormer or the Goofy Roller coaster, as she called it.

Next we hit up Winnie the Pooh.

And Cinderella and Rapunzel. Lilah watched Addy as she talked to Cinderella. As we were walking over to visit Rapunzel she waved and acted more interested. So once we made it over to Rapunzel she decided the princesses were okay.

On our way to grab lunch we saw the mice from Cinderella.

Then on our way out of the gates for nap time we saw Aurora/Sleeping Beauty. By this time Lilah is an old pro with the princesses. No was she is going to another character though.

After a nice nap we return for some fun. It was raining outside so we tried to stay indoors.

A very popular ride with the girls was It's a Small World.

Then off to meet Tinkerbell

A stop to buy items with her money

And finished off meeting Mickey. Lilah would not have anything to do with Mickey. However, from afar she would wave at him.

Mickey told Addy to roar like a bear.

Back at the hotel to relax in her cozy robe.
