You my love are 5 and a half. It seems crazy to think you were once a little baby because you seem so grown up. It is like I blinked and went from baby to big girl. Addison, we love you so very much. Here are a few tid bits about you at 5 and a half.
- You want to please. When you know you are in trouble, you are genuinely sad if you have done wrong to a person. You want to make it better.
- You and Lilah are the best of friends. You two play all the time. Mostly you play house and school. You are the teacher, of course.
- You talk a lot how people are being inappropriate. However, you pronounces it inappro-pee-at.
- Sometime you needs your "privancy" (Privacy).
- You love eating at Subway, but your favorite spot is always CiCi's Pizza. I think it is because your school went there during summer break last year.
- The other night you got out of bed to go potty in our bathroom. There was a lot of dwadling going on in there. Your dad and I kept saying Addy go to bed! When you finally came out you had a curler in your hair. It was so funny because you walked sideways out the door practically skipping because you didn't think we noticed. We just played along.
- For Mother's Day you told me I had to stay in bed because you were making something for me. You were going to put it on the coffee table and I could drink it in the living room. Even though it is stainy. It was tea.
- You have started model posing for pictures (see below). You have a bit of a dramatic diva in you. While cute, I want to foster a nice, cute, and polite girly girl.
- Your best friend at school is Molly. We just found out she was staying at your school for Kindergarten. You are so excited.
- The other day when I came home from the gym you and Lilah were playing puzzles in our room in the dark. You were being such a good big sister, taking turns and helping Lilah. When I said it was time to get dressed you offered out your hand and said "Come on Lilah I will help you". I remember thinking "Wow, I am so lucky. Addison is such a good big sister. Wouldn't it be awesome if every morning was like this?" Moments later Lilah came back in a stained dress and blue eye shadow all over her face. Haha. Close but not going to school like that.
- You have enjoyed dance for the most part this year. However, you are ready to try something else. We are taking the summer off from any activities and bouncing around ideas for the fall. So far we have gymnastics, cheerleading, or basketball. I think we will see what the school offers, because you will be in KINDERGARTEN!
- You used the word "about" in place of "without".
- You are still a pretty serious girl. Lilah or your friends will bring out the goofy in you.
- You told your daddy and I you have 3 boyfriends, Ryker, Keaton and Jordan (who you call Pickles). The sparkle in your eyes while talking about these boys was frightening. You were giddy.
- You say that Ryker is your best boyfriend. The other day you came home and said that you held Ryker's hand in the hall. We had to have a discussion about how you need to keep your hands to yourself at school.
- Another Ryker story... His mom stopped me in the hall about a month ago. She is pregnant and she said that for months Ryker has been insisting that if the baby is a girl he wants to name her Lilah. It took her the longest time to figure out that the reason he wanted to name a girl Lilah is because Addison's sister is named Lilah. He seems to be pretty sweet on you too. Their family is having a girl and they are naming her Lyla.
- You might be headed for a growth spurt. You seem to be eating more and more these days. Both you and Lilah are typically birds. However, lately you have been asking for seconds.
- You love chips and salsa.
- You are a good little girl in school. However, you have an issue with talking too much. You are a wiggle worm and want to talk to everyone.
- You are smart. You have started reading in class. You come home and want to write letters and notes. We have started making you sound out the words and try to write yourself. So cute to see what you come up with.
Addison, you are just the best. You are so enjoyable and have a caring heart. We think you are just the most beautiful, perfect girl ever and we are so blessed to call you ours. We love you so much and are so very special!
